After the previous 4 and 5 Gal solutions for the Water Cooler market, Siapi's Research and Development department has expanded its offer by designing and implementing this ultralight container that can be used on a dispenser without collapsing. With this, Siapi has reached a new target.
This application required extremely accurate planning and a series of simulations using software and laboratory tests in order to guarantee that the result complies perfectly with the container design: the form of the profile is characterized by a particular rib structure.
Plus, in addition to the precision of the control instruments used in the laboratory, the application was tested using practical tests in order to perfectly adjust the operation of the dispenser, analyzing the container's performance (for example, the performance of the application was tested with different water levels).
Creating such a light-weight large capacity container requires an extremely precise blowing process because, due to the low amount of plastic (PET), it is extremely important to accurately control its distribution. Therefore, only versatile blow-molding machines of high quality, such as Siapi's EA1S and EA2S machines – with respectively one and two cavities - are able to control all the parameters necessary in order to make the result comply with the initial design, guaranteeing highly competitive productivity and performance.
The design of Siapi's container has been registered in Turkey, which is a market that has been very sensitive to this type of application for some time. Bottlers in the entire Gulf and Middle East area are interested and attentive to the one-way 4 and 5 Gal PET containers, and this trend further drives Siapi to continue its research in new projects.
By the end of summer, the company is planning on developing and presenting another innovative design for the Extra Large segment for the water sector.
