Otto Hofstetter Holding AG continues to invest in the future in Switzerland. Not far from its longtime headquarters, the company is building a new technical center for its Otto Systems subsidiary. The new facility is scheduled to come onstream at the end of May 2024 and will create around 20 new jobs.

Switzerland’s Otto Hofstetter Holding AG continues to invest in its home location, building a new technical center for its Otto Systems subsidiary. A modern production and assembly hall with an attached office wing is currently under construction near the company's longtime headquarters. The factory hall will be 25 meters wide, 47 meters long and 9 meters high and its entire roof area will be equipped to produce solar power. Otto Hofstetter Holding expects the new building to require a total investment of around seven million Swiss francs.

Turnkey solutions for international customers

Otto Systems supplies international customers complete turnkey solutions for manufacturing PET preforms. The new hall will have four stations for the assembly of the PET production systems, one of them is reserved for demonstration purposes. This will enable customers to see for themselves the performance advantages of Otto Systems solutions under production conditions. All PET production systems ordered by customers will be assembled in the three other assembly areas.

The new facility is designed to enable a 24-hour test run under production conditions and to perform the factory acceptance test as well. The goal of Otto Systems is to deliver thirty turnkey PET systems per year. Given that the sister company and mould manufacturer Otto Hofstetter AG also builds injection moulds for packaging and medical applications, it is also possible to assemble systems for these industries at the new technical centre of Otto Systems.
