Adding injection molds for medical and pharmaceutical plastic products to its offering, Otto Hofstetter AG enters a new area of business in February 2021. As a leading international mold maker, the Swiss company has designed and implemented projects for many well-known companies in recent years. To fine-tune its services, processes and quality assurance uncompromisingly to the specific characteristics and requirements of this area of application, Otto Hofstetter AG has now launched its MED business division.

Otto Hofstetter MED will manufacture injection molds for primary pharmaceutical packaging, as well as medical and diagnostic products and packaging for food supplements. As it does in the PET and PAC sectors, the company offers a full line of services for its new MED range — from production advice and planning to engineering solutions and state-of-the-art quality control. The Swiss moldmakers offers guarantees for its pharmaceutical and medtech molds as well as comprehensive on-site services and support. To lead its efforts in this new business area, Otto Hofstetter AG is delighted to bring Urs Harder on board. He is a highly experienced injection mold engineer, with deep technical and market-specific expertise.
