De Linares brings a strong focus on operational excellence with more than 17 years of experience in leadership roles at TotalEnergies. Originally from France, he concluded is studies in process engineering from Ecole des Mines de Paris in 1997 after graduating from the French Ecole Polytechnique with a degree in engineering.
De Linares’ predecessor Simon Goldney, who oversaw the plant's development and first five years of production, will continue his career at TotalEnergies.
"Simon Goldney has been instrumental in transforming our company from an engineering study to a world-class PLA plant operation led by a highly capable industrial team. We thank Simon for his exceptional leadership in the successful launch and ongoing management of our 75kT/year plant in Thailand. While his presence will be missed at TotalEnergies Corbion, we recognize that it's time for him to pursue the next phase of his TotalEnergies career. His valuable contributions to reliability, quality, stability, and safety will have a lasting impact. We will also fondly remember him as a stellar colleague and dedicated team player," commented Thomas Philipon, CEO of TotalEnergies Corbion. "With enthusiasm, we welcome Olivier de Linares as the new director of our Thailand operations, and we extend our best wishes for his continued success."
