Sangraal Ply ltd, the Australian and New Zealand Licensee of the new generation handlebottle technology have commenced commercial fulfilment of their supply contract withP&N Beverages, which will effectively swap out all of P&N's existing bottles in volumes2 litres and over. |
20 Years in the Making
Curiosity got the better of Glenn Beale, the inventor of the breakthrough technology, in his quest for a reliable, cost effective, solution for the containment and ease of handling beverages in larger bottles. Mr Beale's interest developed into a labour of love spanning some 20 years resulting in a globally patented, commercially viable process for the mass production of a cost effective, eco-friendly, fully recyclable PET container incorporating an integrally moulded handle. Something no one else has been able to do.
The Company founded by Mr Beale with his partner David Reece have finalised research and development activities and have now established commercial production and supply of the world's first PET Integrally moulded Handle Bottle.
A Move away from the past
Because PET is the only material other than glass that can successfully contain long life juice and carbonated drinks, beverage manufacturers have typically resorted to PET containers that have handles attached to them by using an entirely separate production step, most usually by the addition of a polymer strip attached to the neck of the PET container. It is inherently more effective to produce a handled container made entirely of PET including the handle in one production method than to do so in a process which requires the attachment of a handle in a separate production step. In contrast to other polymers, PET is cheaper, stronger, clearer and inherently more recyclable and together with the high output rate of the new process, the new handle bottle is expected to replace like bottles manufactured using PVC & HDPE.
As customer feedback has strongly identified, the invention is simply about making the handling, storing, recycling, as well as the pouring of a drink, a more manageable and convenient experience for people. As well as the added environmental benefits, it enables the consumer to exercise more control over the carrying and pouring processes of their desired beverage.
Expertise
By contracting world class equipment suppliers, the Patented Integral Handle Bottle processensures a high quality, high output, cost competitive, impact resistant container offering creativevariability and compatibility with customers filling and packaging equipment.
What's next?
Now that the new generation packaging is available to the consumer across Australia, expansionplans are well underway to increase the product range in order to satisfy the growingdemand. Expressions of interest are now being sought from interested parties to exclusivelylicense and commercialise the technology globally.
