Sumitomo (SHI) Demag has announced a new sales partnership for Israel. Effective 1 August 2018, Antech Industrial Technologies of Bnei Dror will be the company’s local representation for application consulting, sales and service. Managing Director Alon Naveh is a proven expert in injection moulding technology and well connected in this market.

As in many other countries, Israel’s industry is reacting to the rising pressure to stay abreast of the competition and is struggling with insufficient profitability. Sumitomo (SHI) Demag considers these aspects to be the driving forces behind the increasing investment in efficient injection moulding processes. “Over the past few years, we have seen a certain consolidation among plastics producers, but, at the same time, an increasing demand for energy- and production-efficient solutions,“ CEO Gerd Liebig explains. “As a machine manufacturer catering to growth markets, we consider services such as professional application consulting and fast troubleshooting as essential. Antech Industrial Technologies can deliver on both counts, and we are delighted to welcome the company as our new partner in Israel,” Liebig continues.

Antech Industrial Technologies was established in 2007 and is based in about 30 kilometres north of Tel Aviv. Managing Director Alon Naveh, well-known in the Israeli plastic industry as an experienced plastic engineer, is familiar with the needs and requirements of Israel’s plastics processors. “The technical challenges are high,“ says Naveh. For his customers, high-end technology as well as reducing prices by optimising production efficiency is essential in this situation, and accordingly, waste scrap reduction, short cycle times and extended maintenance intervals are at the top of their list, says Naveh. He has identified growth potential for all-electric machines of the IntElect Series from Sumitomo (SHI) Demag in combination with smart automated pick-and-place solutions. For him, the versatile and efficient Systec Servo machine is the perfect all-rounder for the variety of applications that need to be accommodated in the consumer goods segment.
