In December 2007, Uhde Inventa-Fischer was awarded a third major contract by Kuibyshev Azot to construct a further polyamide 6 plant. The total capacity of this plant is about 54,000 tpa.
The cooperation between Uhde Inventa-Fischer and Kuibyshev Azot dates back to 2004. In June 2004, the first contract was signed for a polyamide 6 plant with an annual capacity of 54,000 tons. This project was completed in the summer of 2006 and since then has been in operation very successfully, running at a capacity above the contractual amount. |
The second project between the partners was signed in March 2006; it was started-up successfully at the end of 2007. In mid-January 2008, the Plant Acceptance was obtained already. The planned and guaranteed capacity of 24,000 tons per year for high viscosity polyamide 6 has been reached with product of very good quality.
Already today, Kuibyshev Azot is by far the largest producer of polyamide 6 in Eastern Europe. The company has polymer plants with the latest technology, designed and built by Uhde Inventa-Fischer.
With the above-mentioned third project, Kuibyshev Azot will produce and market the entire range of products for all applications – textile, carpet yarn, tire cord, film, engineering plastics.
The technology and the process implemented by Uhde Inventa-Fischer in all plants meet the highest demands in terms of quality and effectiveness, and Kuibyshev Azot is now well established as a global player in the field of PA 6.
