The results of the test were carried out in accordance with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX, product class I for baby items, and showed that all applicable human-ecological requirements of STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX are met.
On July 24th, STF Recycling GmbH from Aicha vorm Wald received the OEKO-Tex certificate for flakes made from PET bottles in white, green and blue. The worldwide recognized trustmark confirms the harmlessness to health of plastic products.
Testing is carried out according to an extensive catalog of measures, which includes a total of 100 test parameters. Among other things, great importance is attached to testing chemicals, heavy metals and dyes for harmful substances. Only products that are harmless to health may bear the seal after the test. The certification according to Standard 100, Product Class I is the highest classification for baby articles.
“Especially with baby items, the health aspect is an important decision criterion”, inform Maximilian Söllner, Managing Director, and Michael Bogner, Group Quality Director of the STF Recycling Division, “they should be free of any harmful substances and polluting materials. Our products passed the test with flying colors. We can be very proud of this result. It strengthens customer trust and offers a high level of product safety for all consumers."
STF is very pleased to have set an important, future-oriented milestone in order to be able to offer this product portfolio in the future.
The Aicha company will in future take part in this certification every year.
