Top hotels in Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia were the locations for presentations on key themes on April 9 and 11. The events attracted many representatives from leading PET container producers and users in the region.
Delegates were taken through a case study in lightweight container development, before being given the low-down on preform and container optimization, including details on SIPA’s XMOULD, the technology that provides the freedom to design preforms that combine high performance with low weight.
XTREME and XTRA then took center-stage in discussions on innovations in preform production and rotary stretch-blow molding. XTREME, SIPA’s revolutionary system for injection-compression molding of high-quality preforms that are lighter than anything producible by injection molding, is fast and energy-efficient, while XTRA has the best TCO in its class.
Then it was time for a look at XTREME CUBE, SIPA’s innovative and flexible system that spans preform production to bottle filling in a single step. After that, the day wrapped up with face-to-face discussions on customer-specific topics.
“Feedback from the two events has been really good,” says Sandro Rasi, Regional Sales Manager. “The packaging chain in Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries is thirsty for innovation, and I think the delegates went home with a great picture of what SIPA can offer them. We are looking forward to strengthening our ties in the region.”
