The Sidel Group will demonstrate how it brings “A Better Match” to the beer industry through a unique set of reliable and flexible bottling solutions at Brau Beviale 2011, November 9th-11th, 2011. Sidel will present “Swing”, the innovative pasteurization system. It optimizes final product quality while minimizing consumption up to 25 percent. One outstanding feature is a single heat exchanger for all pasteurization zones, rather than one for each zone as in the past. The second new development is the presence of a rain deviation system in various central areas. In this system, hot and cold water never mix.In combination with the pasteurization unit PRINCE (Prediction IN Control Equations) control system, Swing permits optimization of the process, making it similar to operating conditions. The result is a precise control of Pasteurizing Units (PUs), which determine the quality of heat treatment of the product and protection of its flavor and aroma. The PRINCE software system is now offered as an Option & Upgrade on the complete Sidel pasteurizer portfolio. Older pasteurizers can therefore achieve the highest quality of finished product protection while reducing energy consumption. This is what Sidel calls reliable and flexible solutions for the beer industry. At Brau, Sidel will also introduce new bottling and packaging technologies for the beer industry. They are available as part of the new generation of equipment but also retrofittable on the installed base. Sidel serves the beer industry through a dedicated business unit of 1,000 employees committed to engineering, integration, conveying and complete lines in glass, cans and PET. The global corporate organization has strong relationships with both local brewers and international players. For example, Sidel recently supplied Modelo – the Mexican beer giant – with the world’s largest automated bottling plant, including a 66,000 cans-per-hour canning line, three 144,000 one-way glass bottles-per-hour bottling lines and 37 robots for packaging. Altogether they produce an output of 10 million hectolitres per year. In total, Sidel delivered more than 7,000 pieces of equipment in over 100 countries for the beer industry over the past 40 years. Everything at Sidel is based on unique engineering expertise, guaranteeing the highest value for customers. This experience over the past 40 years in the custom design of beer bottling lines aims to optimized performance in terms of efficiency, TPM and sustainability. For instance, Sidel offers integrated data acquisition and production management systems, such as EIT™. A veritable and personalized MES (Manufacturing Enterprise System), dedicated to the optimization of operational flows, this software package has become the reference in the packaging industry. On top of the EIT diagnosis, Sidel’s audit and engineering skills are applied to diagnose issues and recommend the most effective solutions in economic, industrial and technical terms. Based on this familiarity with bottling line design, Sidel has developed leading beer bottling technologies.
