A prestigious result for the Beverage and Closures&Containers divisions that gives added assurance for customers

As of today tests on bottles, preforms, plastic and crown caps destined for use by soft drink giant Pepsi can be tested and certified at Sacmi Imola’s Research & Development facility. This prestigious goal has been achieved thanks to years of hard work and commitment by the skilled researchers and designers from the Beverage and Closures&Containers divisions who work at the lab; it also reinforces Sacmi’s standing as a global drinks industry partner while ensuring heightened quality assurance for customers.

Being Pepsi-certified, in fact, authorises Sacmi to carry out in-depth checks on all bottling line components; we operate on a par with other Pepsi-authorised laboratories around the world, authorised to carry out similar tests, thus ensuring the validity and repeatability of the attained results. This achievement also stems from the shrewd decision to provide Sacmi Imola not just with the machines necessary to carry out the tests but also the skill and know-how that make the Sacmi Research Centre crucial to the entire Group and a key service supplier to the various business areas in which it operates.

Such a result, of course, only comes with time, and is rooted in Sacmi’s unique ability to work alongside the customer right from the bottling process analysis stage in order to identify potential line problems and anticipate any future upgrades. A result that, as of today, Sacmi is able to place at the disposal of the entire production process and so meet the challenge – thanks to already-acquired expertise, procedures and technological solutions – of obtaining further accreditation from other big names in the industry.
