Sacmi presents the fastest compression press in the world

4:50 min Compression moulding
Imola (Bo), Italy

Able to produce 1600 caps per minute with just 64 moulds, this technological gem from the Sacmi Imola Closures & Containers Division will be on show in October at China Brew&Beverage 2008Another first for SACMI: a compression press with the fastest cycle time in the world. This is the CCM64M produced by the Closures & Containers division of Sacmi Imola, able to produce 1600 plastic caps a minute with just 64 moulds. SACMI, the world’s leading producer of complete plastic cap production lines, will be putting this technological gem – the top-of-the-range of a series of presses that is winning customers over worldwide - on show at China Brew & Beverage 2008 (HALL 3 stand # 3403); the fair will be held in Beijing from 20th to 23rd October 2008.This exhibition of the CCM64M is an absolute first for the Chinese market; SACMI technicians will be equipping it with a mould suitable for production of single-piece AF284HF 28 mm diameter HDPE (high density polyethylene) caps weighing just 2.65 grams, for Hot Filling at an output rate of 1400 caps a minute. Also a great opportunity, then, for the Division to show off the more general advantages that plastic beverage cap producers gain from compression technology. These advantages extend even further with Sacmi-made machines, as all our CCM (continuous compression moulding) models are characterised by low consumption, reduced cycle times, low maintenance costs, outstanding machine-management flexibility - especially as regards the ultra-fast colour changeover times - and exceptional production process repeatability.Without forgetting the practicality afforded by the compact dimensions and the possibility of integration with other machines, starting with the innovative CVS in-line product quality control system developed by Sacmi, a company that has, in recent years, taken on a decisive role in the development of cap production technology and is now leading the way worldwide by providing solutions characterised by high-productivity solutions on one side and reduced energy consumption on the other. Solutions, then, that sharpen the customer’s on-market competitiveness.China Brew & Beverage 2008 confirms its status, then, as a not-to-be-missed appointment for the Group: some 55,000 visitor-customers are expected and floor space has doubled with respect to the last edition. In addition to this innovative machine, sales teams from Sacmi Imola, Sacmi Shanghai, Sacmi Filling and Sacmi Labelling will also be participating. The latter, in fact, will be there to show customers the potential of its automatic labelling machines for glass, plastic and metal containers, placing particular emphasis on the advantages offered by the Opera Pressure Sensitive High Speed, a pressure sensitive labelling machine that has been conceived and built to offer the highest technology in the distribution and perfect application of self-adhesive labels at a speed from 15.000 to 60.000 bph thanks to the HS04 pressure sensitive labelling station and to the CVS3000, an orientation and inspection system of the containers conceived and built in synergy with SACMI Automation and Inspection Systems Division; then there is MONOBIB, a compact product filling/packaging station jointly developed with Sacmi Pakim that incorporates all the functions needed to create bag in box packages.A wide range of filling solutions – from traditional lines to the COMBO model, designed to manage PET bottles – will, instead, be exhibited by representatives of Sacmi Filling, which aims to show customers at China Brew & Beverage 2008 the outstanding reliability of its solutions, plus the inimitable mechanical precision that stems from use of cutting-edge technology. We look forward to seeing you in Beijing at the Group stand (HALL 3 # 3403) and showing you all the very latest from SACMI.
