Notwithstanding the current market slowdown, SACMI’s Closures&Containers team, international industry leader in the manufacture of complete lines for plastic cap production, has significantly accelerated development and research into state-of-the art technical and technological innovations in order to provide customers with the best possible offering in terms of complete solutions for the beverage sector. Chinaplas 2009 is to be held in Guangzhou, China from 18 to 21 May. At this important event SACMI Closures&Containers, in partnership with Assocomaplast – the association of top Italian manufactures of machines and moulds for plastic and rubber materials – will present a preview of the new and unique CCM80 continuous compression moulding machine. The machine, to be exhibited in an area covering over 100mq, is product of the vast experience we have acquired over 25 years working in this field.
The CCM80 is the only machine in the world able to produce more than 2000 caps in just one minute using only 80 moulds with a cycle time of a mere 2.4 seconds.
The CCM80 can handle the widest range of raw materials available on the market such as PP, HDPE, LDPE. The machine can produce caps having a nominal diameter up to 33mm, max height of approx. 25 mm and max. weight of 6 grams.
The CCM80 is the latest innovation from SACMI and adds to our line of products without losing any of the advantages of the other machines included in the range: quality of the finished product, reliability, low maintenance costs, high productivity, low consumption, minimum colour change-over times, compact overall dimensions, repeatability in the production process.
In addition to the well-known advantages of compression moulding, this technology has become the most widely used system in the world for the manufacture of caps for beverages and has proven to be the winning card in the plastic cap production industry. Over the last few years, increased competition and a growing tendency in the market to look for a single supplier able to provide complete turnkey systems, have prompted SACMI Closures&Containers to create new synergies and solutions with other companies within the Sacmi Group. In addition, therefore, to continuing to operate independently on the international market, the division can work side by side with other companies in the Group to offer complete solutions for the bottling industry.
