A highlight of the agenda will be the keynote address: "From PE to PET for Dairy Products" is the title of the presentation and also the name of the project, which was launched at a kick-off meeting between retailer Coop and dairy producer Emmi in Switzerland.
Darko Stojanovic, Purchasing Product Manager at Coop, will explain how new sorting systems for white PET bottles were installed and how existing systems were adapted. We will also hear about the consumer acceptance tests and the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) calculation commissioned at the same time - and get an insight into the progress made since the launch of PET packaging in January 2024 for various dairy products (private label and branded). It will be exciting to look at the ambitious targets for the future.
