Petainer, the specialist PET packaging firm, invests additional into its Nordic plant in Lidköping/Sweden.

Petainer, after its recent successful Husky installation is to invest further millions into new injection moulding plant and machinery to boost its production capacities within the Group’s Lidköping site.

The new injection equipment (Husky HPP) will also enable the plant to run in a more ecological way. This investment fits perfect into the “Company DNA”  and secures that Petainer provides environmentally friendly PET packaging solutions.

The Group CEO Nigel Pritchard claims: “ …this investment follows on the heels of our initial investment plan from the second half of 2012, and we will be following this up in 2013 with yet further investments. This is an exciting time in our development and the investment in the latest technology is a demonstration of our confidence in our Lidkoping business…..”

“…the equipment will enable the Petainer Group to apply the latest green methodologies and will support our  current product portfolio and expansion…” says Pritchard.

Philip Sanner, Director Group Sales & Marketing, points out: “ the timing for sophisticated, technology based investments is the right one. The Group will continue to develop its local markets and grow  its operations, into other geographies…”

Petainer and its customers are striving to continuously improve their environmental footprint  – and these investments combined with Petainer’s proprietary Know-How allows them to design and produce an efficient and cost-effective range of functional PET packaging solutions.
