Orion Global: A prosperous PET Plant

1:40 min PET processing
Berlin, Germany

Even during the off-season in Europe there is a highlight to be found in Lithuania, one of the most recent member states of the European Union. The continuous PET resin plant of Orion Global PET, owned by the Indorama group of Thailand and situated in Klaipeda, is producing at more than 130% of its nameplate capacity (more than 660 tpd). It targets some further increase of production. The company has turned high flexibility and high quality of products as well as customer care into their credo and produces high quality PET resin for all packaging requirements, with most of the product going to European customers. The plant supplied in 2005 with Uhde Inventa-Fischer’s mature CP-technology and services went into commercial production late in 2006. Ever since it has been a success story, as it never went below nameplate capacity as others were forced to do.
