Aside from concluding tangible orders, in the course of various professional conversations we were able to clearly identify the market and customer desire for a diverse selection of professional recycling solutions.
A broad product portfolio makes it possible to provide objective technology consultation.
Visitors were primarily interested in objective consultation, which reflects the clear desire for diversity in recycling technology. NGR was quick to react to the market and added several machine series to its product portfolio. At the K 2013, we introduced a machine series for processing damp input material and presented several new machine series that handle recycling compounding. Our key technology - the filtration of highly contaminated plastic melt - was newly showcased under an NGR umbrella.
Global interest in a new LSP PET recycling process.
The LSP process (liquid state polycondensation) enables a short-term increase of iV values (intrinsic viscosity) and thus leads to a strong decontamination performance. In combination with standard NGR recycling systems, this new process may be used for PET recycling of pre-forms, PET flakes, fibers, sheets, etc. Our presentation of this concept to an international professional audience in our “Innovations Lounge”, which we had created specifically for our booth at the trade show, was widely met with a positive response. In the coming months, the resulting cooperation relationships will play an important part in driving further process development up to and including industrial production.
New operator terminal is more user-friendly.
Aside from our new machine series and new processes, we also highlighted the maintenance and improvement of existing models at the K 2013. The operating manual can now be integrated directly on the machine control system thanks to the new operator terminal. Important information about the machine can thus be accessed quickly and easily right where it is most needed. Furthermore, video clips provide clear maintenance and repair instructions. Automatic alerts for required maintenance make it even more convenient.
