At SKZ, a recycling extruder from EREMA is now available for pilot plant trials. Dr.-Ing.Marieluise Lang, Divisional Manager Materials, Compounding, Extrusion, is pleased: "By commissioning the INTAREMA 906 T / TE machine, the SKZ is further expanding its expertise in the field of plastics recycling." The official handover of the new system to the SKZ took place in the The network day in Würzburg, so that the system could already be visited by the present members of the FSKZ eV.
Thanks to the variable process configuration, the most diverse types and types of plastic waste can be processed with the new recycling extruder. In addition to ground or shredded fractions, films are also suitable as input material. Depending on requirements, the polymer melt is degassed in the extruder during further processing and filtered through a double-piston backflush filter before granulation. Depending on the input, the potential material throughput of the research facility is in the range of approximately 100 to 250 kg / h.
The INTAREMA 906 T / TE will mainly be used for research and development tasks related to recycling and circular economy. In addition, the plant will be part of a cooperative continuing education concept on the subject of "Recycling of Plastics", which will be offered for the first time in Würzburg in December 2019.
