- Successful open house in Querétaro on 5 July 2016 with more than 200 visitors
- Suitable solutions for the increasing demand for high-quality products at attractive unit costs
- Strong acceptance of Netstal in Mexico
In 2014, Netstal readjusted its sales and service structures in Mexico. Since then, the region's premium provider has been experiencing a significant growth trend, particularly in the areas of packaging, closure and medical technology. In the coming years, Netstal is expecting an increasing demand in Central and South America for system solutions that guarantee cost efficiency on one hand, and, through the combination of technologies, provide the molded parts with new and interesting qualities on the other. On 5 July, Netstal presented its suitable solutions to over 200 Mexican customers by way of an open house event.
Positive development since the readjustment in 2014
At the beginning of 2014, Netstal strengthened its sales and service structures in Mexico. "The previous two years in Mexico have been very successful for us. The demand for our products and system solutions for numerous industries has steadily increased, while the sales and quantities of installed systems within the region have also experienced positive developments", says Patrick Bolliger, Sales Manager for the Netstal brand in Mexico. The most important application sectors in Mexico are the markets for beverage packaging, closures, thin-wall packaging and medical technology applications.
Increasing demand for high-quality packaging solutions at attractive unit costs
In both the Mexican and entire Latin American market, a trend for high-quality products can be observed. "In the packaging sector, for example, we are expecting an increasing demand for high-quality food packaging with IML decoration and integrated barrier layers. The innovative ICM technology is also interesting to our customers because the injection compression process makes it possible to achieve a reduction in material usage of up to 20%", points out Bolliger, and adds: "Since we develop the leading application technology for our target sectors, this development is an extremely important one for Netstal. Thanks to our highly efficient, reliable and precise injection molding systems, our customers can manufacture qualitatively superior plastic products at very attractive unit costs."
Open house in Querétaro with over 200 visitors
In order to continue the positive development and present new solutions, a successful open house event was hosted at Netstal's Querétaro location on 5 July. Through a series of presentations, more than 200 visitors were brought right up to date on the exciting topics of thin-wall packaging & IML, injection-compression molding in a stack mold, barrier packaging, PET preforms, closures and medical technology applications. A particular highlight of the event was the production of a 32 oz polypropylene container using an ELION 3200-2000 in a mold with 4 cavities. Around 1800 units of the 47 g, IML-decorated beverage containers were produced at a cycle time of only 8 seconds per hour.
