Netstal at the Plast in Milan, IT 08 - 12 May 2012

The Swiss injection molding machine manufacturer Netstal will be unveiling a high-performance ELION 1200 at this year's Plast plastics exhibition in Milan (Hall 24, Stand A/B 17/14). Using an application from the area of thin-wall injection molding, Netstal will demonstrate its recognized expertise in the market as a system partner.High-speed production of thin-wall part on the energy-saving ELIONOn an ELION 1200-530, Netstal will showcase an application from the area of thin-wall injection molding to demonstrate the high efficiency of this all-electric line. An IML container is produced, which is manufactured at an impressive cycle time of just 3.6 seconds in a mold from Italian mold maker SCS. Our systems have established themselves primarily in those segments in which the most demanding requirements are placed on the system and the services provided, explains Markus DalPian, Head of Business Unit PAC. The packaging part made of a polypropylene from Borealis will also be provided with a label during the injection molding process by means of IML (In-Mold Labeling). The label is inserted and the part then removed by a handling device from Italian manufacturer Campetella. The Swiss company Motan also supplies the devices for the supply of raw materials, while frigofluid from Italy is responsible for cooling.High system expertise to reduce energy consumptionIn particular, we hold a top position on the market in the configuration of systems with in-mold labeling (IML). We have a closely-woven, comprehensive network of partners for all components, and can therefore offer you a 'plug-and-play system', continues DalPian. The system presented at the Plast Milan, i.e. the ready-for-production combination of the machine, mold, automation and other peripheral devices, will highlight the expertise of Netstal in the provision of complete solutions. In addition to a highly productive injection molding system, the customer also acquires processing know-how so that it can produce top-quality parts from the first hour of production and onwards. In addition to this, the processor also benefits from the low energy consumption of the ELION. Thanks to the principle of recuperation, braking energy is fed back into the current circuit to supply additional consumers. When used efficiently, it is therefore possible to save up to 70 percent of energy consumption compared to conventional drive systems.
