SCHÖTTLI AG Mould Technology Diessenhofen, Switzerland

Mould Technologies Group (MTG) of Diessenhofen/ Switzerland, which incorporates SCHÖTTLI AG, acquired all shares in MAGOR MOLD Inc. of San Dimas CA/USA as of January 2011. In addition to SCHÖTTLI AG as core corporation and MAGOR MOLD, MTG, originally founded under the name of Mould Technologies Holding AG (MTH), also owns s-mouldtech in Suzhou/China. The three mould engineering specialists joined forces so as to better cater to manufacturers with an enhanced portfolio and moulds from one single supplier. Both SCHÖTTLI and MAGOR specialize in the development and production of moulds with an extremely high output rate. While they have a similar strategy, both companies supply injection moulds for complementary products and as such they often cater to the same international and multinational customers: MAGOR predominantly supplies manufacturers of medical parts and disposables while SCHÖTTLI caters to medical disposable manufacturers as well as to packaging and plastic cap producers. For MTG, the acquisition of MAGOR allows an enhancement of its portfolio particularly with moulds for technical parts and functional elements made from engineering plastics. These components are used in medical devices such as diagnostics systems, respirators and application systems. As significant stockholders of MTG Wolfgang Bühler and Martin Schöttli will both remain managing directors of MAGOR and SCHÖTTLI.The fact that SCHÖTTLI, s-mouldtech and MAGOR now operate under MTG’s roof gives rise to numerous synergies. International customers of any of the three companies will now be provided with moulds for a more diversified portfolio from one single supplier, while both service and maintenance will now be carried out by the local companies. Moreover, MTG, SCHÖTTLI and s-mouldtech will consolidate their presence on the US market. Last but not least this allows a more personalized service for existing and future customers.Operating one powerful company in every major market, i.e. Europe, the US and Asia, MTG moves closer to its customers and can now provide an even more comprehensive regional service package.
