After 5 years operating as CEO at Hapa AG, part of Coesia Group, Beat will return to PackSys Global as CEO of PackSys; an organization with which he has a long professional history.
He studied Mechatronics / Production Technology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, followed by post-graduate studies of business administration at ETH Zurich and most recently in 2014 pursuing an executive management program of the university of St. Gallen (ES-HSG).
In 1997, Beat joined kmk Maschinen AG, later renamed to PackSys Global. He started as Development Engineer, took over the project lead for new products and was promoted to lead the Engineering department. As a next career step he was appointed Technical Director of the PackSys Global Group and became a member of the Executive Board.
Furthermore, he took over the responsibility for extending and managing the service center in India and was in a leading role for integration of the Thailand subsidiary. Finally, in 2006, he took over the responsibility as MD of the Swiss locations in Rueti and Burgdorf.
Beat has a profound understanding of PackSys’ core markets, technologies and organization and he shares the values and ambitions of the Brückner Group. We look forward to working with Beat Rupp and wish him all the best for his new responsibilities.
Dr. Manfred Zurkirch, who, as reported, decided to pursue a new professional challenge outside the Brückner Group, held the CEO role until the end of March 2019, then handed over his responsibilities for a brief transition to Angela Strigl, CFO, until Beat Rupp completes the PackSys management team again as of 1 May 2019.
We would like to thank Manfred for his dedication and his valuable contribution to the successful development of the PackSys Global business and wish him all the best for his personal and professional future and continued success.
