La Seda de Barcelona, S.A sells 100% of Artenius San Roque's share capital to CEPSA Química, S.A

Today La Seda de Barcelona, S.A (LSB) and CEPSA Química, S.A, wholly owned by Compañía Española de Petróleos, S.A., have concluded the sale-purchase agreement of Artenius San Roque, S.A.U., until now under the ownership of La Seda de Barcelona.By means of this transaction, LSB is selling 100% of the Artenius San Roque shares to CEPSA group, through CEPSA Química S.A. The transaction value, amounting to 32 million euro, includes the price of 100% of the Artenius San Roque share value, as well as the company’s net debt, upon its closing.By means of this transaction, Artenius San Roque, S.A.U is going to be renamed as CEPSA Química PET (CQ PET, S.A) and keeps a workforce of 40 employees, whereas the remaining 19 people from Artenius San Roque are joining several departments of CEPSA Química, S.A.CEPSA Química PET, the previous Artenius San Roque, has a production capacity totalling 175.000 MT/year, and is foreseen to be operational again in the first quarter of this year.La Seda de Barcelona continues with its asset divestiture process, as set up in the Restructuring Plan which was approved by the Extraordinary Shareholders Assembly held on 17. December 2009.
