A significantly optimised production process for oval or asymmetrical plastic containers: that’s the job description for the newly developed ProShape process from Krones.   From 27 October to 3 November 2010, Düsseldorf will be hosting the world’s premier trade fair for plastics and plastics processing, the K. Krones AG, Neutraubling, Germany, will be surprising visitors to this sectoral meet-up with an oven concept called FlexWave for the Contiform stretch blow-moulding machine – a new and innovative heating technology. FlexWave scores primarily with its significantly lower energy consumption compared to the infra-red technologies currently available on the market. It also achieves an unprecedented degree of process flexibility, independently of preform colour, PET material or proportion of recyclate. No other technology is able to combine the very high penetration, the energy density and the heating speed to such telling effect. The Contiform on show at K 2010, with its FlexWave heating technology, may prove to be the stretch blow-moulding model of the future.  Producing oval plastic containers Eine deutlich optimierte Produktion von ovalen bzw. asymmetrischen Kunststoff-Behältern verspricht das neuentwickelte ProShape Verfahren von Krones. This functions by utilising the familiar heating and stretch blow-moulding technology of the present Contiform series, and adding a new module for alignment and responsive temperature control for the preforms. ProShape thus offers ideal preconditions for implementing out-of-the-ordinary designs and for lightweighting oval containers. Thanks to this innovative overall concept, station outputs of up to 2,000 containers an hour can be achieved. Krones AG, Hall 13, Stand A 73
