IML Medical at Arburg: Innovation in Medical Technology
A special exhibit is presented in cooperation with Arburg, featuring an IMLWatcher as part of a medical application where an in-mold label is precisely applied to a tube. This application demonstrates how IML technology can unlock new potentials in the medical sector – through RFID integration, improved traceability, and compact, hygienic production environments. The project is the result of a close technology partnership between five IML pioneers: ARBURG, BECK, INTRAVIS, KEBO, and MCC/Verstraete. Each partner contributes its expertise – from injection molding and automation to labeling and vision inspection – to deliver a robust, efficient, and future-ready solution for the medical and pharmaceutical industries.
The system will be on display at the booth of Arburg (Hall 13, Booth A13).
IMLWatcher at Star Automation: Reliable Detection of IML-specific defects
At the booth of Star Automation, INTRAVIS presents another IMLWatcher equipped with five cameras for inspecting side and bottom labels. In addition to detecting typical defects such as artwork shifts or blow-byes, the system also identifies color deviations and print errors. Notable software features include a long-term image memory, reject rate monitoring by cavity and inspection criteria, and an extended statistics on the user interface – enabling data-driven process optimization.
The system will be on display at the booth of Star Automation (Hall 11, Booth H74).
Compact Print Inspection at Tampoprint
One more exhibit is the CapWatcher SC at Tampoprint, which uses a single camera to inspect prints on closures. The system is focused on straightforward applications and demonstrates how compact and budget-friendly solutions can contribute to quality assurance.
The system will be on display at the booth of Tampoprint (Hall 4, Booth A55).
