Husky Injection Molding Systems today announced the launch of its new Pro-Act™ flexible maintenance program to help customers improve asset availability and performance. Pro-Act is part of Husky’s range of expanded Services offerings, which help customers achieve the best return on their investment by maximizing efficiencies throughout a system’s life cycle. “The Pro-Act maintenance program is based on a proactive, as opposed to a reactive, maintenance model that is designed to ensure maximum performance by acting as a cure for unplanned customer downtime,” said Jeff MacDonald, Husky’s Vice President of Marketing. “We have found that industry-wide, most systems degrade by up to 17% over 10 years. By offering Pro-Act, we are helping customers to be more cost-effective by maintaining overall operational effectiveness.” Pro-Act, which will be on display at the Husky booth (S36009) at NPE 2009 (Chicago, June 22 – 26), is a multi-level contract program designed to help customers maximize asset availability and performance by responding to problems before they take place. Using measureable results, maintenance activities are pre-planned and custom-built depending on the needs of each customer. This allows the program to be tailored to a customer’s specific needs. The Pro-Act program offers three levels of service, each providing customers with more in-depth services and greater value, including: Entry level proactive maintenance – including an annual assessment and calibration performed by Husky technicians Intermediate level proactive maintenance – Husky works with a customer’s internal maintenance staff to achieve optimal machine availability Advanced level proactive maintenance – Husky is enlisted to ensure optimal machine performance with the goal of fixing maintenance costs within the operation
