Husky Injection Molding Systems today announced the expansion of its line of Altanium® temperature controllers with the introduction of Altanium Neo2™ controllers. On display at the Husky booth (S36009) at NPE 2009 (Chicago, June 22 – 26), Altanium Neo2 is designed on a platform to provide two to 24 zones of control and is equipped with 15 amps per zone, making it flexible enough to handle a wide variety of applications. The design combines functionality and control with an intuitive and simple user interface.“With controllers for less than 24 zones, molders are often limited to a lower quality interface. Altanium Neo2 offers a more sophisticated design and features that are normally only associated with high-end temperature controllers,” said David Whiffen, Husky’s Director of Marketing, Hot Runners. “The introduction of Altanium Neo2 controllers is one example of how we can provide customers with flexible, fast and responsive solutions to help their businesses grow, regardless of size of operation.”Altanium Neo2 controllers deliver: Large full color touch screen with an intuitive interface for easier temperature control, configuration and monitoring Ability to store up to 24 mold set-ups internally and support external storage through a USB key, allowing for faster, more accurate start-ups Accurate control achieved through the application of Active Reasoning Technology (ART), which automatically creates a custom control algorithm for each zone, optimizing part quality and consistency Diagnostic routines which allow tooling issues to be identified and corrected with minimal downtime Husky’s Altanium line of temperature controllers is recognized throughout the industry for its accuracy, ease-of-use and flexibility. Husky is the only hot runner manufacturer with its own line of fully integrated temperature controllers.
