Husky Injection Molding Systems today announced leadership changes within its sales organization in the Americas. Carmen Lowe, Vice President, North American Sales since 2008, has announced his intention to retire after 23 years of service. As a result, Mike Urquhart, Vice President, Latin American Sales since 2007, will assume leadership responsibility for growing Husky’s customer relationships throughout the Americas. “I would like to thank Carmen for his tireless dedication to Husky and its customers. Carmen has developed deep relationships with many of our largest global accounts. His desire to always do what is right for our customers demonstrates a true commitment to keeping them in the lead,” said John Galt, Husky’s President and CEO. “I would like to wish Carmen well in his retirement, while also congratulating Mike on his new role. Mike holds many long-standing relationships with customers throughout the Americas and has done an excellent job in growing our Latin American business.” Mr. Lowe joined Husky in 1987, and since that time, has held a number of leadership positions in the company’s North American Sales organization. A transition of Mr. Lowe’s responsibilities will begin October 1, 2010, with an official retirement beginning early 2011. Mr. Urquhart has had an accomplished career since joining Husky in 1980, having served in a number of leadership positions throughout the company’s operations, marketing and sales organizations. Since 2007, he has held the position of Vice President, Latin American Sales. In this new role, Mr. Urquhart has also been appointed to Husky’s executive team.
