Top modern in terms of quality and hygiene
The new building with an area of 3,700 sq.m. was opened on 03 September 2009 after a mere one-year construction period. Willi Eibner, CEO of Greiner Packaging International, pinpoints the fundamental customer benefits: “Our customers profit from a significant increase in quality and quantity in terms of infrastructure. For this new construction, particular attention was paid to hygiene. The production hall in Tabasalu fulfils all current hygiene and quality standards. In addition, we have also managed to improve logistics.”
Ketchup and mustard bottles for the Orkla Group
A new order from the Orkla Group is also contributing to the process of strengthening Greiner Packaging’s market position in Northern Europe. Ketchup and mustard bottles holding 4.4 litres are being produced for the Norwegian conglomerate. The internationally active Orkla Group employs a workforce of about 35,000 employees in 40 countries. Last year, it achieved annual sales of EUR 8.8 billion. The well-known food producers Felix Austria and Procordia Food from Sweden also belong to the Orkla Group.
Large bottles for large-scale consumers
The ketchup and mustard bottles are designed to hold 4.4 litres and primarily meet the demands of large consumers such as company canteens or kiosks. Greiner Packaging Division Kavo is responsible for production. The bottles are manufactured using extrusion blow moulding technology. The plastic processed is HDPE.
