The efficiency of its self–cleaning system (up to 400 automatic re-uses of the filter elements) and the extremely low melt loss through back flushing remains unrivalled. Additionally, the RSFgenius offers pressure-constant operation +/- 1,5 bar, extremely low polymer loss through back flushing and a minimised residence time of the polymer melt.Other characteristics of the RSFgenius are: Applicable for all types of polymers Active filtration area up to 5.140 cm² Filtration as fine as 1 µm No effect on the process during filter changes.The RSFgenius represents the ultimate performance which can be offered by any melt filtration system. In most cases, the return on investment is extremely quick.1.2. The SFXmagnus Melt Filtration System: process-constant operation with low investment costs The SFXmagnus offers an unmatched performance spectrum at a low investment cost. It is particularly suited for applications whereby process constant and/or pressure constant operation is important, but self-cleaning is not absolutely necessary due to relatively long intervals between filter element changes. This system further characterised by its simple, safe and easy operation, its completely encapsulated design which completely prevents external influences such as airborne moisture. Further, the rheologically streamlined flow channels ensure an extremely short residence time of the polymer melt in the screen changer.2. The MRS Extrusion System: Unique Polymer Devolatilising TechnologyGneuss will also show a further highlight: a demonstration model of the new type of extruder developed by Gneuss. Since its introduction in 2007, this extruder has set new standards with regard to the degassing or devolatilisation of polymers. The patented MRS extruder is based on a multiple screw system consisting of a single screw drum with satellite screws provides an extremely large and fast changing melt surface for unmatched degassing or devolatilising performance. The MRS extruder ensures the processing of undried PET flakes or chip/pellets to sheet, fibres or strapping tape with a simple vacuum of only 20 – 40 mbar. This system also permits the extremely efficient extraction of solvents or other problematic volatiles during plastics manufacture or processing.   MRS extruder with 8 satellite screws in extrusion drumIn addition to the excellent degassing or devolatilising properties, the simple and rugged design of the MRS makes it the ideal machine for the processing of heavily contaminated materials.
