<ngr -="" simply="" one="" step="" ahead&lt;br=""&gt;NGR is the synonym for Next Generation Recycling Machines. This is not only the name of the company, this also stands for the innovative technology of NGR. The company located in Feldkirchen, Austria, builds machines for reprocessing of thermoplastic waste and is specialized on challenging material like tapes, fibers, film (also stretch film and edge trims), lumps, sheet, etc. The wide range of machines with pellet outputs between 20 kg/hr and 2000 kg/hr provide solutions for various applications in the plastics industry as well as for post-consumer waste applications.&lt;/ngr&gt;</p>

First plants in Portugal

This summer, NGR installed the first two plants of their recycling machines in Portugal. One ofthem is an E:GRAN 50 AP which has been designed for inline recycling of thermoplastic filmedge and bleed trims with a pelletizer output of 5 to 50 kg/h. It is now working at Plasmeriz,Esmeriz processing PE edge trims. The main drivers for Plasmeriz to invest were the versatilityand easiness of operation of the NGR machine combined with the high quality of the producedpellets. The special feeder intake design and the automatic extruder speed control additionallycharacterize the E:GRAN recycling machine.

ONE-STEP Technology

The other recycling line is a S:GRAN 85 V HD, installed at Silvex, Benavente. With its modular configuration no additional pre-cutting systems are necessary. The heart of this system is the patented cutter-feeder-extruder combination, which can repelletize nearly every material without ever leaving the machine. This is why the process is known as NGR ONE-STEP technology.

Compared to competitive concepts that Silvex knows, the NGR machine could win because of its high versatility, being able to recycle HDPE as well as LD/ LLDPE and due to its gentle extrusion process even biodegradable film. Further reasons for Silvex were the low use of human resources in the operation of an NGR machine, the higher versatility in material input – even complete film rolls and startup lumps can be recycled, and the good international reputation of NGR.
