Constar International Inc. (NasdaqCM: CNST) today announced that George Caplea has joined the Company as Executive Vice President of Global Business Development, and that Joseph Bione of Whitehall Group, LLC will be consulting with the Company as acting Executive Vice President of Operations. Both report directly to Grant Beard, the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

He will oversee manufacturing, supply chain management, quality and engineering.”
Mr. Caplea came to Constar from Valley Towing Products of Rochester Hills, Michigan. Prior to that he served as President of Thule Towing System based in Lodi, California, which is part of Thule AB of Sweden. Before that Mr. Caplea was with Sweden-based Trelleborg AB, a global market leader in engineered elastomer and resin based products, where he served in positions of increasing responsibility including President of Trelleborg Automotive Worldwide, President of Trelleborg Automotive Americas and Executive Vice President of Trelleborg AB. Earlier in his career he was the part owner and Executive Vice President of Yale South Haven, Inc., the rubber product manufacturer based in South Haven, Michigan.
Mr. Bione is the founder and managing partner of Whitehall Group, LLC, the Michigan-based management consultancy. He has served as an interim CEO for numerous companies during transition including CMI Holdings, Venture Industries, Talon Automotive Group, Como Plastics and Detroit Plastic Molding. Earlier, Mr. Bione was a Partner at Deloitte Consulting in the Automotive, Supply Chain and Restructuring Practices with global account responsibility for the former DaimlerChrysler. He started his manufacturing career at Johnson Controls where he was Vice President and General Manager for both the automotive group and beverage bottle division. He also served as Director of Operations at American Sterilizer Company for its Medical Products Division.
