Conair and Husky announce agreement to provide integrated PET preform manufacturing solutions

The Conair Group, Inc. today announced that they have entered into a joint agreement with Husky Injection Molding Systems to provide complete manufacturing solutions for the PET preform market worldwide.  Husky is one of the world’s largest suppliers of injection molding equipment and services to the plastics industry. This new global agreement allows for closer integration and joint development of Husky’s injection molding systems and Conair’s plastics auxiliaries systems featuring the latest in PET resin drying technologies. “Working with Conair is in keeping with our holistic approach to PET preform manufacturing,” said Jeffrey MacDonald, Husky's Vice President of Beverage Packaging. “This relationship strengthens our ability to offer customers a complete, fully integrated solution where all the elements are optimized to work together.” Husky’s PET preform systems, HyPET, offer the fastest cycle times in the industry.  Conair has recently developed EnergySmart™ PET drying technology which offers optimal material conditioning, process control and energy efficiency. “We are excited to be working with Husky who, like Conair, is committed to bringing the best technologies to customers, whether applied to a single line or a complete turnkey installation” remarked Chris Keller, President of Conair. “The combination of Husky’s HyPET and our EnergySmart PET drying technology will help customers achieve better cycle times and minimize their energy costs.”Husky’s broad product lines offer its customers the ability to manufacture a wide range of plastics products such as bottles and caps for beverages, containers for food, automotive components, and consumer electronic parts. Husky has a sales and service network consisting of more than 40 offices worldwide, as well as manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States, Luxembourg and China.
