Cold Jet continues rapid expansion in Europe

After the acquisition of Denmark-based IceTech in 2016, Cold Jet® has further expanded European production of its high performing and reliable dry ice cleaning and production systems in Poland and Denmark.  In addition to these facilities, Cold Jet has installed several technical information and training centers in Belgium, Germany, Denmark and Poland. These technical centers are open for customer visits, demonstrations, sample test trials and training sessions for new and existing customers and partners.

Led by Dietmar Juchmes, Senior Vice President EURAF, Cold Jet Europe has experienced a growth rate of 14% year over year. The management team of EURAF includes Krzysztof Golda, Sales Manager of Eastern Europe, responsible for the expansion of the Eastern European market with a main focus on Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Russia; Serhat Meneske, responsible for sales growth in Northern Germany and to boost sales in the Scandinavian market; and Christophe Coen, Commercial Manager Europe, responsible for United Kingdom, Benelux, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and Africa –who is supported by the regional country sales managers.

“It is an exciting time for Cold Jet Europe,” said Mr. Juchmes. “Our rapid growth has presented real challenges in our production facilities and in our sales, service and back-office departments, which are spread throughout Europe.  We are currently recruiting a number of people in all aspects of our business to support our rapid growth, deliver our high end equipment and ensure high customer satisfaction. Our target is to grow our number of European personnel to more than 85 by the end of the year.”

Cold Jet’s service organization, led by Steven Landuyt, consists of more than 20 personnel and offers a complete range of services – from training and spare parts delivery to regular visits and service and warranty packages. The team guarantees the best possible customer service and equipment maintenance services.

”All production managers know that they need to avoid unscheduled downtime,” said Mr. Juchmes.  “Failure due to maintenance is the worst case scenario for every high demanding production facility. To help prevent this, we are continuing to add local service technicians in key regions so that we can service our equipment quickly onsite or in our regional service facilities.”

Cold Jet anticipates that these investments will aid further expansion in the rapidly changing business environment, help maintain customer satisfaction and increase customer lifetime value.

Along with continuing our growth, Cold Jet is furthering their track record of innovation. In April of 2018, they introduced the R1000H, a pellet-to-slice reformer solution. Reforming pellets into slices reduces dry ice consumable cost and is a simplified and safer process when compared with traditional block cutting which, in many regions, is still a manual process.
