Borealis creates Science and Technology Advisory Board

1:35 min Management
Vienna, Austria

Borealis, a leading provider of innovative, value creating plastics solutions, announces the creation of a Science and Technology Advisory Board to provide further impetus to its step change in innovation programme. The new board’s activities will be coordinated by Walter Kadl, a former Board Member of Borealis, and will comprise well respected experts in the field of plastics, namely Professor Paolo Galli, Professor Manfred Raetzsch, and Professor Hans-Gerhard Fritz. The board will focus on catalyst, process and application driven research and development. “We are investing substantially in our innovation centres and technical know-how, and the creation of a Science and Technology Advisory Board will stimulate and challenge our own thinking so that we go beyond the level of innovation we have today,” explains Borealis Chief Executive Mark Garrett. “The competencies of the members of this board are also invaluable in ensuring that we bring value added solutions onto the market as quickly as possible.” Wim Roels, Borealis Vice President Innovation and Technology, based at the Innovation Centre in Linz, adds: “This is a well-appreciated addition to our innovation capability and will build upon the creativity and expertise we have at Borealis.” Borealis focuses on providing plastics solutions for the infrastructure, automotive and advanced packaging market sectors.
