On the occasion of the NPE 2009 exhibition, which will be held in Chicago from June 22nd to 26th, SACMI presents its newly developed CCM64M press and its latest technology, Compression Blow Forming (CBF).
The CCM64M is the only machine in the world capable of producing 1600 caps per minute with just a 64-cavity mould at an ultra-fast cycle shorter than 2.4 seconds and can mould different raw materials such as PP, HDPE and LDPE.
This new machine can produce a nominal closure with diameter up to 43 mm and maximum height of about 25 mm, weighing no more than 6 grams.
The CCM64M enhances the current compression press range maintaining the advantages offered by the previous versions: top-quality finished products, outstanding reliability, low-cost maintenance, high productivity, low power consumption, minimal colour change-over times, compact overall dimensions and repeatability of the production process.
Compression Blow Forming – CBF - is the unique combination of two well known technologies, compression moulding and blow moulding.
SACMI, already leader in the compression moulding closures and performs, is adding to this existing knowledge also the blow moulding know-how.
The main reasons that drove SACMI in these new projects have been sustainability in both process and deliverables; total quality of the bottle, technology advances and last but not least total cost of the bottle. Reduced energy consumption resulting from the lower melt temperatures, typical of the compression technology, more consistent container design and dimensional repeatability are just some of the added values CBF can bring to your business.
