According to the website of UK start-up Honest, which is owned by co-cre8 Systems Limited, the company has launched a reusable drinking bottle made from recycled single-use bottles.

According to the company ''The Honest Bottle' is made from 100% rPET, whilst the cap is built from rHDPE. The strap is assembled from virgin TPU and PC, for which the company claims it is looking at sourcing a recycled alternative with the required functionality. The eight design colours are named after iconic areas in London.

Honest states that the bottle and lid are both accepted by household waste collections. The firm revealed it will take responsibility for the strap by operating a take back scheme, ensuring it is then sent in bulk to an appropriate recycling facility.

Honest added that it will dedicate time and resource to install publicly available water refill points, using proceeds from the Honest Bottle sales.
