Thanks to continuous improvement: Eckes-Granini Germany receives "Platinum Rating" for sustainability - The independent institute EcoVadis is one of the world's largest and most trusted providers of sustainability ratings for companies. It promotes the companies’ environmental and social practices through CSR performance monitoring within the supply chain and supports enterprises in improving sustainability aspects.
In its latest rating, subsidiary Eckes-Granini Germany takes a top spot. With 74 out of a possible 100 points in the overall rating, it is among the top one percent of rated companies in terms of sustainability.
"Particularly as a manufacturing company that also imports natural raw materials from emerging economies, we are aware of our great responsibility not to exploit our resources but to ensure that present and future generations can live in health and prosperity on this planet," said Dr. Kay Fischer, General Manager of Eckes-Granini Germany, proudly after receiving the award.
Eckes-Granini Germany received particularly praise in the environment category which includes the reduction of CO2 emissions and pesticides. Eckes-Granini's German sites have already been completely climate-neutral since 2019. The German company's future sustainability goals include using at least 50 percent recycled PET and reducing sugar by another 10 percent by 2025. By 2030, Eckes-Granini Germany wants to offer only juices and purees that are 100 percent sustainable. Goals that the Eckes-Granini Group also strongly supports.
