The world’s premier trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industries, the drinktec 2013, was held in Munich from 16 to 20 September 2013. And Krones AG, of course, was one of the exhibitors at this global summit meet-up of the beverage and liquid food industries. A “must” for the company from Neutraubling, because nowhere else will the entire “Who’s Who” of the international beverage and liquid food industries be found in one place. The drinktec is a fair for innovations, where the sectoral and technological leaders from all over the world are gathered together to inspect the technical solutions of tomorrow showcased at a single venue.
Volker Kronseder, Executive Board Chairman of Krones AG, was a satisfied man: “The auguries for the drinktec 2013 were highly auspicious. Ongoing demand trends boosted our expectations. And these were met in full! Besides the traditionally strong visitor nations, including Germany, very many visitors came from markets outside Europe and from newly industrialising countries. We welcomed representatives of large corporations, and of mid-tier companies as well. Our new technical developments were greeted with overwhelming approval from all our customers, who confirmed that with our products we are meeting their wishes for sustainable, eco-friendly, resource-economical, responsively human-engineered solutions, but also for profitable business operations. Verdict: we had an excellent drinktec 2013. We closed deals at the fair worth triple-digit millions.”
More than 66,000 visitors from 182 different countries came to the drinktec in 2013, and around 90 per cent of them dropped by at the Krones stand to learn more about the innovations being showcased by the planet’s leading company in the beverage filling and packaging sector.
Krones unveiled its newly developed machines for producing, filling and packaging beverages and liquid foods, on an area of 11,000 m2. Around 700 of Krones’ staff were at the fair all week, to talk to customers from all over the world, to explain the new designs to them, and to demonstrate the machines in action.
